Pike River Misery Paddle Tour

A short and sweet Misery Paddle Tour to prove that the Pike River was navigable, this trip turned into one of the worst nightmares yet.  Though we only did the lowermost four miles of the Pike River in 2018, we were only able to do so in four hours!  The alder was very thick, the blow downs gnarly, and trees growing right in the river didn't help either.  The river's flow was minuscule, but at least we didn't have to hike everything.  There's very little chance that anyone else would ever think to paddle this river, and I certainly won't be sending anyone else down this way any time soon.
